Webinar: Understand your Voting Rights: Special Intensive Revision (SIR)

JCoR will be collaborating with the Indian Chrsitian Women’s Movement and Together for Tranquility to host a webinar entitled “Understand your Voting Rights: Special Intensive Revision (SIR).” The Election Commission of India has implemented the SIR of electoral rolls in India’s northern state of Bihar and is currently leading its rollout in 11 other Indian states and Union Territories. The SIR presents barriers to the participation of eligible voters in elections, which will disproportionately affect single women, sexual and gender minorities, and religious minorities.
