COVID-19 Response Hub

The health and economic implications of the COVID-19 pandemic have forced people all over the world to struggle to survive unprecedented hardships. The global community of women and men Religious, alongside partners from other faiths and no faith, have witnessed the burden of this pandemic falling most heavily on the shoulders of those most marginalized groups with and for whom we work. In the midst of such great suffering, doubt, and confusion, it can be challenging to discern how we can answer our call to embody God’s love and mercy. How can we be beacons of hope and wellsprings of peace even as many of us are required to physically distance ourselves from those we serve?

Throughout the pandemic, the Justice Coalition of Religious (JCoR) would like to relay some inspiration to the members of our global family. In this series of COVID-19 Response Briefs, we will highlight a sampling of projects that Catholic Sisters, Brothers, Fathers, and their partners in mission are undertaking to provide relief where it is needed most. We will also offer a roundup of global statements and messages from the United Nations community regarding the pandemic, a variety of opportunities to advocate for peace and justice from wherever you may be, and a collection of prayer and spiritual resources suited to this moment.
