Education Session: Institutional Transformation “Toward a Culture of Advocacy”

During the November 2025 meeting of Catholic Religious NGOs who work in relation to UN Headquarters, JCoR organized an educational presentation by Mathew Thomas, SDB on the topic of Institutional Transformation “Toward a Culture of Advocacy.”

In this session, Fr. Mathew highlighted the difficult reality that educational institutions sponsored by Catholic Religious congregations throughout the world are too frequently graduating students/trainees who have not been thoroughly infused with a sense of social responsibility or the vital skills and foundation to live as responsible citizens and promoters of the common good in their respective societies. He proposed a curriculum for adaptation to a variety of different educational institutions that could serve as one step “toward a culture of advocacy” in all ministries and institutions sponsored by Religious congregations.

A recording of his input is forthcoming.
